Wattco Equipment Inc. is an independent manufacturer’s representative organization providing professional sales and service specializing in municipal, utility, and public safety vehicle outfitting and integration.

Job Description: Full-time position in outside sales, requiring positive and pro-active selling skills to cover the given territory. Territory manager responsibilities include representing all product lines represented by Wattco to the target customer base that includes police, fire, public works, utilities, and refuse. Develop both near term and long-term client relationships at each level of the customer base by identifying customer needs and providing integrated product solutions. Maintain and develop distribution channels by product market. Provide market analysis to Wattco’s Manufacturers. Build market share of each product line. Complete a full sales cycle including cold calls in territory, writing product specifications, working with distributors to increase sales, and providing service to the customer after the sale.
Territory Assignment: Southern California Region (San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Imperial Counties) as well as Southern Nevada (Mineral, Esmeralda, Nye, Lincoln and Clark Counties).

Salary: $2,335.39 bi-weekly with monthly variable/commissionable income without a cap.

Territory Manager Job Responsibilities:

• End user sales calls
• National and regional trade shows
• Develop and write product specifications calling out brand specific features
• Provide light technical support in the field to service products
• Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities
• Survey client needs and trends
• Develop competitive analysis
• Demonstrate technical selling skills that highlight features of the products represented
• Develop annual territory business plan in conjunction with Sales Manager
• Utilize a consultative selling style to provide fully integrated solutions
• Assist in the implementation of company marketing plans
• Create and conduct effective proposal presentations and RFP responses
• Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities using company contact management software
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes

Job Specifications:
• Previous sales experience
• Willingness to travel
• Proven ability to achieve sales goals
• Multi-tiered marketing experience with end users and distributors.
• Valid California Driver’s license and satisfactory DMV record.
• Position requires a satisfactory pre-employment background check, physical and drug test.
• Territory Manager must live within their assigned territory.

GENERAL DUTIES: Build Police, Fire and Public Works Vehicles – Installation of all vehicle equipment, radios, lighting equipment as needed. Custom fabrication. The individual shall be capable of working without direct supervision. Skills must include motor vehicle driving, computer proficiency, job tracking, time management and accounting of time. Position will install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot, 12V Automotive Electrical Systems and emergency warning equipment. Position will be called upon to meet Wattco’s goal of industry’s highest quality installation services.

• Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs., occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., and infrequent lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per day.
• Ability to climb over, into and under vehicles several times per day.
• Occasional working at heights above 10 ft.
• Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes.

Employee Tools:
• Employees should possess hand tools to perform the above tasks, some shop tools are available for use.
• Specialty tools will be discussed with management and be provided if warranted.
